Many organizations have rapidly become diverse. With shifting populations in the United States, achieving diversity doesn t require much effort. But for many, diversity is still a code word for afï ¬ rmative action. Many companies have developed diversity programs, but their only metric for success is measuring the hiring and promotion of women and people of color. Yet progressive companies understand that diversity management extends far beyond hitting the numbers or compliance.
